Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal healthcare, have a strong knowledge of veterinary practices, and will be committed to providing the highest quality of care to our furry patients.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat sick or injured animals.
• Perform necessary surgeries and assist in clinical procedures.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery.
• Advise pet owners on health care plans.
• Maintain a sterile and organized clinic environment.
• Document case histories and treatments.
• Participate in training and mentoring of junior staff.
• Engage in community health education activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Registered with the Veterinary Council of South Africa

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in veterinary practice

Certifications

• Veterinary Medicine Degree

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with exotic animals: Knowledge and practical experience in treating exotic pets.
