Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing social services, assessing client needs, and creating individualized care plans. This role involves working with diverse populations, advocating for social justice, and connecting clients with essential resources.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive case plans based on client assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address client needs.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress towards goals.
• Provide crisis management and emotional support during challenging times.
• Engage clients in their treatment and service plans.
• Submit reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate clients about available community resources for support.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with clients.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation when required.
• Engage in local advocacy efforts to promote social change.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work
• Master's degree or postgraduate qualification is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in social services

Certifications

• Certified Social Worker (CSW)
• Trauma-Informed Care Certification is a plus

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Conversational
