DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will manage deployments, work on CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with development teams to enhance software delivery processes. You will leverage cloud technologies to streamline operations and ensure system reliability.

Responsibilities

• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with IT security to deploy and manage secure environments.
• Optimize performance parameters of deployed applications.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and training for team members.
• Keep abreast of emerging DevOps tools and technologies.
• Review and improve current automated test protocols.
• Maintain service reliability during high-volume traffic.
• Provide detailed reports on system performance and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a similar DevOps role

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Linux/Unix

Certifications

• Google Professional DevOps Engineer
• Scrum Master Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Agile methodologies: Experience working within Agile teams and processes.
