Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Financial Planner to join our Durban office. The successful candidate will provide tailored financial advice to clients, helping them to achieve their financial goals through effective financial planning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients' financial needs and objectives to create tailored financial strategies.
• Provide expert advice on investment opportunities and portfolio management.
• Prepare financial documents and reports for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain financial concepts and plans.
• Conduct regular reviews of clients' financial plans to ensure they remain aligned with their goals.
• Identify new business opportunities and foster relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Master's degree in Finance is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in financial planning or related fields

Technical Skills

• Risk Management
• Tax Planning
• Financial Software Proficiency

Soft Skills

• Negotiation
• Analytical Thinking

Certifications

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

• Experience with financial software such as Xero or Sage: Familiarity with industry-standard financial software for planning and reporting.
