Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal welfare. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating animals, performing surgeries, and providing exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to diagnose their health issues.
  • Prepare surgical and medical instruments and assist in surgeries.
  • Implement effective treatment protocols for sick or injured animals.
  • Oversee the work of veterinary technicians and support staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for both animals and personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with clients about treatment options and outcomes.
  • Participate in the training of junior veterinary staff.
  • Document patient histories and treatments accurately.

Requirements

Education
  • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
  • Postgraduate qualifications in specialized veterinary fields are a plus
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in a veterinary clinic, especially in surgery
