Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Equipment Operating Engineer who will operate and maintain various heavy equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance in construction or industrial settings, focusing on safety and adherence to operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect heavy machines, ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and ensure that the equipment is in top condition.
• Maintain open communication with site managers to align on project workloads and timelines.
• Document all maintenance activities and report on any issues encountered.
• Work collaboratively with other construction personnel to meet project deadlines.
• Implement best practices for equipment usage and safety management.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials, ensuring safe transport and handling.
• Provide input for equipment upgrades and maintenance schedules based on observed performance.
• Participate in site safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Facilitate continuous learning in equipment operations and safety through team training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in equipment operation or related field is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy machinery in construction or industrial settings.
