Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to manage construction projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing site operations, collaborating with architects and contractors, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning and execution of construction work.
  • Ensure all work complies with engineering standards.
  • Manage the workflow and assign tasks to site staff.
  • Communicate with local authorities and stakeholders regarding project progress.
  • Supervise the work of contractors to ensure quality control.
  • Review and approve construction drawings and documents.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and trainees.
  • Monitor site costs and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in on-site engineering roles
