Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our skilled team in Johannesburg. The role involves designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components for diverse engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, experience with CAD software, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from initiation to completion.
• Ensure compliance with local and international engineering standards.
• Analyze and resolve design and manufacturing problems.
• Cooperate with procurement for material selection.
• Prepare project proposals and cost estimations.
• Develop test protocols and analyze performance data.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address any quality concerns.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the field of mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
