Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Logistics Coordinator to oversee our supply chain operations in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics processes, ensuring timely deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers and transportation companies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire logistics process from order placement to delivery.
• Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding logistics statuses.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate shipping contracts.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Lead logistics meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Supply Chain Management
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics is an advantage

Experience

• Preferably 4+ years of experience in logistics roles

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis
• Microsoft Excel

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Logistics Manager Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in process optimization: Ability to identify and implement efficiencies in logistics operations.
• Knowledge of customs regulations: Familiarity with customs procedures for import/export operations.
