Surgical Instrument Technician

Job Description

As a Surgical Instrument Technician at Healthcare Solutions Group, you will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilizing, and maintenance of all surgical instruments. Collaborate closely with surgeons and medical staff to ensure instruments are ready for procedures. Your attention to detail will contribute directly to patient safety and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all surgical instruments are sanitized and prepared for each procedure.
• Conduct regular inspections of instruments to ensure functionality.
• Work closely with surgical staff to coordinate needs for different procedures.
• Implement best practices for inventory management of surgical tools.
• Assist in training new staff on sterilization protocols.
• Maintain compliance with health regulations regarding instrument handling.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to surgical services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Surgical Technology or Instrumentation
• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting preferred
