Job Description

As a Furniture Crater, you will be responsible for securely packing and transporting furniture products to customer locations. This vital role includes ensuring quality standards and managing inventory effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret client specifications to create custom packaging solutions.
  • Cut and prepare packing materials according to product specifications.
  • Ensure all products are packed in compliance with safety and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to manage delivery schedules.
  • Monitor stock levels of packing materials and report requirements.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on packing equipment and tools.
  • Assist with inventory audits and manage product returns.
  • Provide feedback on packaging materials and methods to the management team.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the packing team.
  • Document daily packing operations for future reference.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid Driver's License
Experience
  • Experience with international shipping and customs regulations is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with packing machinery and tools

Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • Afrikaans: Basic
