Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Cytogenetic Technologist with expertise in cytogenetic testing on patient samples. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of genetic disorders, working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various cytogenetic tests following established protocols.
• Ensure all results are accurate, reliable, and documented properly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory equipment issues promptly.
• Interpret complex data and collaborate with teams to interpret findings.
• Maintain meticulous records to ensure compliance and for future reference.
• Engage with healthcare professionals to ensure treatment protocols are optimal.
• Assist in the implementation of new testing techniques or procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to stay informed on advancements in the field.
• Ensure laboratory remains compliant with all health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to the laboratory's commitment to excellence in patient care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science discipline (e.g. Biology)
• Certification as a Cytogenetic Technologist is highly desirable

Experience

• 2+ years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting
