Job Description

We're seeking a Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of our facility in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and functionality of all building services, implementing maintenance schedules, and managing facility budgets. You will coordinate with various vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all facility management activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Create and manage budgets for facility maintenance and improvement.
  • Liaise with building management to resolve any issues.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics for facility management.
  • Ensure proper handling of emergency situations and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to facilitate successful operation.
  • Review service contracts and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
  • Implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff and contractors.
  • Evaluate facility needs and make strategic recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Facilities Management are preferred
