SOC Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented SOC Analyst to enhance our cybersecurity team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, collaborating with IT teams to uphold a secure IT environment. You will play a crucial role in defending against cyber threats while continuously improving our security operations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor the company’s systems for vulnerabilities.
• Assist in incident handling and documentation of incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security projects.
• Help identify and recommend improvements for security systems.
• Execute security training sessions for employees.
• Provide technical support during security incident remediation.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain incident response documentation and plans.
• Support the development of crisis communication strategies.
• Analyze threat landscapes and provide recommendations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or IT-related field
• Master's degree or additional industry certifications are advantageous.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a SOC or cybersecurity role
