Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe and capable of withstanding the elements. A solid understanding of design software and local building codes is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the construction of building structures.
  • Review and approve designs and plans from junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulation.
  • Conduct structural analyses and evaluations to ensure safety and stability.
  • Collaborate with architects and other professionals to deliver project specifications.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
  • Participate in site surveys and inspections.
  • Monitor construction processes to ensure quality standards.
  • Compile technical reports and documents for project management.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage
Experience
  • 3-5 years of practical experience in a related field
