Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe and capable of withstanding the elements. A solid understanding of design software and local building codes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create structural designs for commercial and residential projects.
• Provide calculations and detailed drawings for construction.
• Assess and advise on the structural integrity of building plans.
• Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that all engineering designs meet SANS standards.
• Evaluate potential issues and suggest effective solutions.
• Keep updated with the latest engineering technologies and software.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of practical experience in a related field

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Microsoft Office Suite

• Civil Engineering Technologist (CET)
