Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe and capable of withstanding the elements. A solid understanding of design software and local building codes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Draft schematic designs and detailed structural plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects.
• Coordinate with fellow engineers, architects, and builders.
• Implement eco-friendly practices in engineering solutions.
• Oversee the selection of materials used in construction.
• Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines.
• Create risk assessments and safety procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders regarding project progress.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of practical experience in a related field

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
