Needle Loom Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Needle Loom Operator who will be responsible for operating and maintaining needle loom machines to ensure the production of high-quality textile products. The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate needle loom machines accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure the machines are producing textiles of high quality and in compliance with specifications.
• Conduct routine checks on the production process to address any issues proactively.
• Unload textile products from machines and package them for distribution.
• Help maintain a clean and safe workspace in accordance with health regulations.
• Work closely with the production and quality control teams to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of machine performance and production output.
• Participate in safety inspections and adhere to workplace safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot machinery problems and make adjustments as necessary.
• Assist in training new team members on machine operations and safety procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Training in advanced textile manufacturing is a plus

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of textile machinery
• Familiarity with different types of fabrics

Soft Skills

• Flexibility to work shifts
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiZulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience operating other types of textile machinery: Hands-on experience with various textile manufacturing equipment is a plus.
• Experience in quality control and inspection: Familiarity with quality assurance processes and standards.
