Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Tax Consultant to join our Cape Town office. The ideal candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of tax legislation, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to client service. In this role, you will assist clients in navigating their tax responsibilities, ensuring compliance while providing valuable tax planning advice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement tax-saving strategies for clients.
• Assist in the development of tax policies and procedures.
• Foster communication with clients to gather necessary information for tax filings.
• Oversee the accurate maintenance of client records and documentation.
• Monitor deadlines for tax submissions and compliance.
• Provide technical support and advice on tax legislation to clients.
• Conduct comprehensive tax assessments and produce reports for clients.
• Collaborate with other tax professionals to enhance service delivery.
• Identify and troubleshoot tax-related issues for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification in taxation or accounting is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax advisory role

Certifications

• Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA)
• Relevant taxation qualifications are a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
