Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Financial Analyst to join our growing team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, developing reports, and providing strategic recommendations to enhance company profitability and optimize financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance metrics and report on key performance indicators.
• Develop and maintain budgeting models and financial forecasts.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather financial data for analytical purposes.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc financial reports for management.
• Analyze market trends and their impact on business operations.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Support the financial decision-making processes by providing actionable insights.
• Conduct post-implementation analysis of capital projects.
• Work with team members on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Participate in training and development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Master's degree or MBA is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis or similar role

Certifications

• CFA Level 1 or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of South African tax legislation: Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements in South Africa.
