Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and assess risks based on company guidelines.
• Prepare quotes for potential clients based on their specific needs.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements.
• Analyze risks to determine suitable coverage and premium rates.
• Review and revise existing policies to ensure compliance and relevance.
• Communicate effectively with agents and clients to explain underwriting decisions.
• Conduct market analysis to stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
• Provide support for claims by analyzing relevant documents and details.
• Attend client meetings and provide guidance on complex underwriting decisions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and agents.
• Utilize underwriting software and tools to manage workflows and data.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Insurance-related certifications preferred (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in underwriting or related field
