Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to enhance our engineering team in Durban. This role involves hands-on project management, from conception through to completion, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and resolve technical issues related to mechanical systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• CATIA
• SolidWorks
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in project management: Familiarity with project management methodologies for timely project delivery.
