We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our vibrant Cape Town team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to assess risk and determine the terms and costs of insurance policies. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of underwriting and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications for coverage and risk assessment.
• Determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing of policies.
• Collaborate with agents and clients to finalize policy details.
• Analyze statistical data to help in underwriting decisions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
• Monitor existing policies and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of policies and claims.
• Provide support and guidance to junior underwriters.

Requirements

Education

• Quality assurance in underwriting

Experience

• Proven experience in insurance underwriting for at least 5 years
