Job Description

As a Civil Engineer at our firm based in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for managing and executing diverse engineering projects. This position necessitates proficiency in construction methodologies, design software, and stakeholder communication to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in project execution from inception to completion.
• Assess project risks and devise mitigation strategies.
• Ensure quality control and assurance in all project phases.
• Facilitate client meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
• Conduct research on new technologies and methodologies in civil engineering.
• Assist in the preparation of bids and tenders for new projects.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to achieve holistic project outcomes.
• Promote safety and compliance culture within the project teams.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication between various project teams and departments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on project management
