Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy practices, patient care, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on health and wellness, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate therapies.
• Educate patients about health management and preventive care.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct quality assurance checks for medication safety.
• Engage in community health initiatives and education.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Specialization in clinical pharmacy is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in retail pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Compounding skills
• Medication therapy management

• Strong communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Pharmacy Practice Certification
• CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
