Route Supervisor

Job Description

As a Route Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate daily transportation operations. This includes developing efficient route plans, ensuring drivers adhere to schedules, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Establish efficient routing plans and monitor performance metrics.
• Lead a team of drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Handle customer queries and resolve any issues related to deliveries.
• Maintain detailed logs of vehicle maintenance and driver reports.
• Coordinate with dispatch to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Conduct vehicle inspections for compliance with safety standards.
• Stay informed on legislation affecting the transportation sector.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics management

Technical Skills

• GPS Navigation Systems
• Microsoft Office Suite

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience managing a fleet of vehicles: Practical experience in coordinating large numbers of vehicles.
