Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our talented team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems design and implementation. You will be involved in a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to deliver projects on time.
• Provide technical support for electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Prepare technical documentation and project reports.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments.
• Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering technology.
• Implement energy-efficient solutions in design.
• Assist in the supervision of installation processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Honours degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in electrical engineering, preferably in a managerial role

Technical Skills

• PLC Programming
• Energy Management Systems

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Certified Electrical Engineer (CEE)
• SAIEE Membership

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Renewable Energy Systems: Experience in integrating renewable energy solutions into electrical designs.
• Familiarity with Relevant Codes and Standards: Understanding of SANS and other relevant industry standards.
