Job Description

As a Surveying and Mapping Technician, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of surveying projects, ensuring precision and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to produce detailed maps and plans that are vital to various construction and engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Use surveying instruments and software to gather data for mapping projects.
• Assist in field surveys and capture measurements as necessary.
• Prepare survey reports and documentation for client review.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure all drawings and specifications align with project goals.
• Contribute to developing and implementing project plans.
• Evaluate project progress and suggest improvements based on technical insights.
• Support project managers in coordinating with other contractors and stakeholders.
• Conduct quality control checks on all drawings and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of surveying equipment and report any damages.
• Train junior staff on drafting and surveying techniques.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in relevant drafting software will be advantageous.

Experience

• Experience in structural or mechanical drafting is a plus.
