Job Description

As a Rampman, you will oversee the safe and efficient operation of airport ramps. Your leadership will ensure adherence to safety protocols and optimal ramp operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all ramp operations, including aircraft loading and fueling.
• Manage a team of Ramp Coordinators and Ramp Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient airport operations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to ramp operations.
• Ensure effective communication with airline partners.
• Identify areas for improvement in ramp processes and implement changes.
• Provide mentorship and training to ramp staff.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Relevant tertiary qualification in aviation management is preferred

Experience

• At least 5 years' experience in airport ramp operations, with a focus on managerial roles.

Technical Skills

• Ability to work well under pressure
• Knowledge of ramp equipment and systems

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Safety Management Systems Certification
• Ramp Safety Training Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
