Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Help Desk Technician to join our IT support team in Stellenbosch. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support to users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure optimal performance of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus and relevant technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
  • Install and configure computer hardware and software.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on IT systems.
  • Participate in IT projects and provide technical support.
  • Assist with data backup and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate logs of user requests and resolutions.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for IT security.
  • Engage in continuous learning of new technologies and tools.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a help desk or technical support role
