Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. In this role, you will work with various cloud technologies to design, implement and manage cloud solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Monitor cloud services to ensure system availability and performance.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Work closely with IT teams to optimize cloud environments.
• Participate in on-call support for cloud-related incidents.
• Facilitate training and knowledge transfer to staff on cloud technologies.
• Research and implement new cloud technologies to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies

Technical Skills

• AWS
• Azure
• DevOps practices

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with VMware and hybrid cloud solutions: Experience with VMware and hybrid cloud management.
• Basic knowledge of Python or scripting languages: Ability to write scripts for automation of tasks.
