Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and managing various structural projects. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with architects and other engineers to deliver efficient and innovative structural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process from concept through to completion.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Review and approve engineering project documents and specifications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest engineering standards and technologies.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural project design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in advanced structural modeling software: Experience with software like SAP2000 or similar.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations: Understanding of local and national building codes and standards.
