Packaging and Filling Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Packaging and Filling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining filling machines in a fast-paced production environment. You will ensure that containers are accurately filled and meet our quality standards before being packaged for distribution.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated filling machines, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct quality control inspections and participate in troubleshooting when issues arise.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Complete production and quality records accurately and timely.
• Maintain cleanliness and conduct preventive maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor and team members for workflow optimization.
• Participate in training and skills development initiatives to enhance performance.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Technical diploma in manufacturing or food technology is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of direct experience in machine operation within a manufacturing setting

Technical Skills

• Filling equipment operation
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Food Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a clean room environment: Knowledge of strict hygiene and sanitation processes.
• Forklift operation certification: Certification in operating forklifts is a plus.
