Job Description

As a Clinical Psychologist at Mental Wellness Clinic, you will work within a dynamic team to deliver high-quality mental health care. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing individual therapy, group sessions, and community outreach programs aimed at fostering mental wellness.

Responsibilities

• Assess mental health conditions through standardized testing and interviews.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Counsel individuals and families to improve their mental health outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans over time.
• Engage in peer consultations and continuous professional development.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the healthcare system.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology or similar
• HPCSA registration is required

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mental health services

Technical Skills

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Trauma-Informed Care

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of child psychology: Ability to work with children and adolescents with mental health issues.
