Job Description

We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst who will oversee our security operations in Cape Town. Your expertise will guide security assessments, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. A strong background in IT security and risk management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed security audits to identify weaknesses in systems.
• Coordinate with external partners for security assessments and compliance.
• Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
• Manage data loss prevention solutions and strategies.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Mentor junior staff on cybersecurity practices and incident handling.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity

• Firewalls and Security Protocols

Certifications

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001): Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks.
