Job Description

As a Veterinarian at Animal Care Solutions in Durban, you will play a critical role in the health of pets by diagnosing health issues, carrying out surgeries, and providing effective care. You will also engage with pet owners to foster a strong understanding of their pets' health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical examinations to identify health issues.
  • Perform surgeries and administer anesthesia as needed.
  • Develop health plans for animals, including treatment and medication plans.
  • Foster compassion and understanding with pet owners regarding treatment options.
  • Oversee support staff, ensuring high levels of care are delivered.
  • Engage in regular training to enhance clinical skills.
  • Assist in emergency response for sick or injured animals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science
  • Postgraduate qualification preferred

  • 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience
