Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Pet Groomer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate should have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds. You will be responsible for all grooming tasks, ensuring pets look their best while also providing excellent customer service to pet owners.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of grooming services for various dog and cat breeds.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and grooming environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with pet owners.
• Monitor pet behavior and comfort during grooming sessions.
• Educate pet owners on grooming and health care practices.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a professional grooming school is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of pet grooming experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Clipping and Styling
• Bathing Techniques

Soft Skills

• Patience
• Team Player

Certifications

• Grooming Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in retail sales: Ability to recommend and sell pet grooming products to customers.
• Knowledge of pet nutrition: Understanding of dietary needs and nutrition for dogs and cats.
