Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Construction Project Manager to oversee various construction projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing construction teams and projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets. You will play a pivotal role in bridging communication between clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Direct construction projects using established best practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges that arise during construction.
  • Foster relationships with clients, ensuring their vision is realized in the project.
  • Establish clear metrics for measuring project success.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
  • Continuously strive for improvements in project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage the influence of external factors on construction activities.
  • Develop a comprehensive risk management plan for each project.
  • Conduct final inspections before project handover.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • A Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years in managing construction projects, preferably in residential or commercial sectors
