UX Designer

Job Description

We are in search of a talented UX Designer to join our Cape Town office. You will have the opportunity to influence product design and user satisfaction through comprehensive research, design iterations, and usability testing. Collaborating closely with product teams, your focus will be on enhancing the overall user journey.

Responsibilities

• Create visually appealing and user-centric design solutions.
• Conduct competitive analysis to inform design strategies.
• Present design concepts and rationales to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with content teams to ensure clarity and effectiveness in UX copy.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to a collaborative design culture.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, or related field
• Advanced degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in a tech environment

Technical Skills

• Usability Testing
• Prototyping Tools

Soft Skills

• User Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Nielsen Norman Group UX Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with design systems: Knowledge of creating and maintaining design systems for consistent branding.
• Knowledge of SEO principles: Understanding of search engine optimization best practices for UX.
