Job Description

The Estate Tax Examiner will be responsible for reviewing and auditing estate tax returns. This role requires ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, working closely with other members of the tax department to guarantee timely and accurate processing of estate tax filings.

Responsibilities

  • Review and audit estate tax returns for compliance with standards.
  • Engage with clients and legal advisors to clarify estate tax issues.
  • Assist in formulating strategies to address compliance gaps.
  • Contribute to policy updates relevant to estate tax processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of audits and communications.
  • Support team members with insights from audits and regulatory changes.
  • Research tax obligations to keep operations aligned with legal standards.
  • Draft and present audit reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant professional workshops to enhance knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Taxation or Finance
Experience
  • 4 years of experience in a tax-related role
