Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Retail Buyer to join our vibrant Durban team. This role is key in sourcing and selecting products that align with our brand's vision and our customers' needs. You will be responsible for negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and staying informed of market trends.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze market trends to determine product demand.
• Collaborate with design teams to develop product specifications.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs.
• Conduct price comparisons and negotiate favorable terms with vendors.
• Monitor and analyze stock turnover rates to optimize inventory management.
• Present findings and recommendations to management for strategic decisions.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Business Administration or similar
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the retail buying sector

Technical Skills

• Market research

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems: Experience with inventory management systems and tools.
• Bilingual (English and Afrikaans): Ability to communicate in both languages is a plus.
