Mining Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Mining Engineer who is keen to contribute to our Johannesburg operations. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of mining processes and be able to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise production and ensure the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Integrate new technologies and practices into mining operations.
• Research and analyse trends in mining engineering and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology
• Master's degree in a related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining operations
