Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, analyzing, and implementing mechanical systems and must possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for new mechanical products.
• Coordinate with other engineers and departments for design reviews.
• Utilize CAD software to develop and modify designs.
• Provide technical support during product development.
• Conduct research and development for innovative solutions.
• Assist in project management and resource allocation.
• Review project specifications and update as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience

Technical Skills

• CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with HVAC systems: Knowledge in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
