Paws and Claws Grooming is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Pet Groomer to enhance our dedicated team. You will be responsible for grooming pets, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming environment for pets and their owners. Your expertise in grooming techniques and your ability to connect with animals will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Execute grooming services to high standards for different breeds and coat types.
• Engage with pet owners to discuss grooming needs and services offered.
• Ensure all grooming equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
• Monitor the well-being of pets throughout the grooming process.
• Provide after-grooming care advice to pet owners.
• Contribute ideas to improve salon processes and customer experience.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in Animal Science or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in pet grooming or veterinary care

Technical Skills

• Advanced Grooming Techniques
• Animal Behavior Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• Pet First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with dog training: Ability to handle pets during grooming sessions with training knowledge.
• Familiarity with grooming software: Experience using software for appointment scheduling and customer management.
