Job Description

The Cantilever Crane Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a cantilever crane to safely move heavy loads on construction sites. This role involves rigorous adherence to safety standards and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Safely move and position heavy materials using the cantilever crane.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment before use.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operations on-site.
• Maintain crane logs and perform daily inspections.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Assist in training junior operators on crane operations.
• Evaluate and identify potential hazards in the working environment.
• Ensure high-quality standards in all tasks performed.
• Engage in continuous improvement practices to optimize operations.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Cantilever crane operator certification

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Technical Skills

• Safety Regulations Knowledge

Certifications

• First Aid Certification
• Valid Driver's License (Code 10 or higher)

Languages
