Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Durban. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services, diagnosing and treating patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients' health concerns actively and compassionately.
• Perform tests, take samples, and interpret results for appropriate diagnosis.
• Formulate treatment plans and discuss them with patients and their families.
• Act as a resource for healthcare information and community health initiatives.
• Improve healthcare delivery through the application of evidence-based practices.
• Develop protocols for patient management in line with guidelines.
• Ensure all prescribed medications are administered in accordance with legal requirements.
• Utilize technology and electronic health records to document and track patient health data.
• Collaborate with local health agencies to provide community wellness programs.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient treatment plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting

Certifications

• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification
