Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects while ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit engineering plans to governmental bodies for approval.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of junior engineers and technicians.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure project designs comply with environmental standards.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Address any changes or deficiencies discovered during project execution.
• Participate in community consultation and engagement activities related to projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in engineering project management

Technical Skills

• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
