Job Description

The Health Specialties Teacher will lead nutrition courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring they grasp the critical importance of nutrition in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate will also conduct impactful research in the field and engage with the community to promote health awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement innovative teaching strategies tailored for nutrition education.
  • Conduct original research projects that advance the field of nutrition.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding their academic progression and research interests.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to develop community health initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty committees and contribute to institutional planning.
  • Attend and contribute to workshops and academic gatherings.
  • Mentor junior faculty and staff in nutrition-related subjects.
  • Assist in the publication of academic articles and resources.
  • Remain informed about legislative changes affecting nutrition and health policies.

Requirements

Education
  • PhD in Nutrition or related field
  • Experience in health policy and advocacy is desirable
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in teaching and research.
