Job Description

We are seeking a talented Architect to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative design and a strong understanding of architectural principles. You will be responsible for creating designs that are not only visually stunning but also functional and sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Design architectural solutions that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress.
• Prepare project cost estimates and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advise on the selection of materials and construction methods.
• Mentor junior architects and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in architectural projects

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Building Codes Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in digital design and modeling: Proficiency in using digital tools for complex architectural designs.
• Knowledge of smart building technologies: Familiarity with smart technologies and their applications in architecture.
