Job Description

As a Farm and Home Management Educator, you will provide invaluable technical support and advice to farmers, focusing on enhancing agricultural productivity and profitability. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding farmers through best practices and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert consultations focusing on crop production, soil fertility, and pest control.
  • Promote the adoption of innovative agricultural technologies.
  • Organise workshops and training sessions for farmers.
  • Analyse farming practices to identify improvement areas.
  • Assist in grant writing and funding proposals for farming projects.
  • Coordinate with agribusinesses to support farmers with resources and information.
  • Participate in community outreach to promote sustainable agricultural practices.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to design effective farming solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up consultations to ensure implementation success.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and promotional activities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science or related field
  • Master's degree in Agriculture is preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in agricultural consulting and project management
