Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Solutions Architect who will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions at our Johannesburg office. The role involves working closely with clients to understand and address their needs, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create efficient and scalable cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of cloud architectures, ensuring they are scalable and secure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine potential cloud solution options.
• Manage client relationships and act as a technical advisor for cloud initiatives.
• Design cloud services deployment strategies ensuring best practices.
• Provide regular training and updates to teams on new cloud technologies.
• Assist in maintaining cloud governance frameworks.
• Ensure the architecture meets both technical and business specifications.
• Oversee the execution of cloud migration projects.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project status and performance indicators.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies and architecture design

Technical Skills

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Security Best Practices

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes: Strong experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines: Proficient in automating deployment processes through CI/CD practices.
