Job Description

The Film Booker coordinates the booking of films for our cinemas. You will ensure that films are scheduled efficiently, marketed effectively, and promoted to boost attendance. The role requires strong organizational skills and a keen understanding of the film industry.

Responsibilities

• Source and book films based on audience preferences and market trends.
• Create and maintain film schedules to align with cinema operations.
• Monitor audience feedback and make adjustments to programming as needed.
• Foster relationships with major film distributors for exclusive deals.
• Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns for film launches.
• Collaborate to drive special events and promotions.
• Conduct regular reviews of film performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all film distribution regulations.
• Support the cinema team in creating an excellent guest experience.
• Participate in industry networking opportunities to expand contacts.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Communications, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in cinema programming or film distribution

Technical Skills

• Database management software

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
